1931 Ford Pickup Model B

Built by Nickells Customs in Lodi, California, this 1931 Ford pickup features a full custom boxed frame with solid, waterjetted front arches, and an ocean of one-off details that make it an absolute one-of-a-kind.

The 383 Stroker small block and a TH350 automatic transmission were both built by Ron Grose Racing.  The engine is topped with a Littlefield 6-71 blower and a dual quad FiTech injection system, and breathes through a set of custom sectioned, stainless steel, Lake-style headers.  The complete chassis has been powdercoated to match the House of Kolor Candy Apple Red body, is set upon a 4-link Air Lift rear suspension system, and features 4-wheel disc brakes by Wilwood complete with a proportioning valve.

The roof has been extensively chopped, lending an exceedingly low appearance; this, with no fenders, makes the blackwall Firestone tires with their black powdercoated wheels and polished center caps exhibit a perfect aesthetic balance.  The bed is covered with a pivoting panel of dark- and light-colored woodgrain separated by red strips.  Under the cover, the frame and fuel cell are accessible in all their detailed glory.  The painted grille is pinstriped and flanked by twin headlights in pinstriped black housings.

Like the rest of the truck, the interior has been completely customized.  Black, diamond-stitched Alcantara upholstery covers various surfaces, the dashboard has been painted to match the exterior and fitted with a grooved bezel with custom white-face gauges nestled within.  Plush carpeting has been installed over Dynamat insulation.  Despite the engine projecting high above, the consignor says visibility is not a problem.
