An Alternative to BAT

An Alternative to BAT

CarCorral.auction launched recently with a smattering of unique cars on offer, ranging from a blacked-out, mid-80s FoxBody Mustang to a winged Plymouth Superbird and a few customs. CarCorral.auction has a number of interesting benefits to buyers and sellers, including pricing, which might be another reason to consider them over not just BAT, but other competitors in the market.

With 7-, 10-, and 14-day listing options, sellers pay a commission of $85, $105, or $135 respectively. The buyer’s premium is a simple 4.5 percent of the winning bid with a minimum bid of $200 and a maximum of $4,500. In other words, if you spend a million dollars on a car, you only pay 4.5 percent against the first $4,500.

Garage Style magazine covered the launch recently here and they’re hoping to see more activity as an alternative to Bring a Trailer, which has had a number of complaints against it of becoming far too corporate, far too interested in dealership business, and simply losing the car guy feel. Hopefully we can bring back that feeling.
